Zaditor UsesZaditor is used to relieve itchy eyes. Zaditor treats allergic conjunctivitis with no rebound effect. An over-the-counter antihistamine and mast cell stabilizer, Zaditor is made of ketotifen fumarate. Instead of containing vasoconstrictors that can amplify eye redness once the effect wears off, Zaditor blocks the histamines without directly constricting the blood vessels. By blocking the histamines, the chemicals from cells that the body creates when there is an allergic reaction, Zaditor stops the itch. Zaditor treats seasonal allergic conjunctivitis and perennial allergic conjunctivitis. Zaditor can eliminate the itching caused by allergic conjunctivitis, also known as pink eye. Perennial and seasonal allergic symptoms, relieved by Zaditor, include ragweed, animal hair, mold, pet dander and pollen.
