The following are some basic dosage guidelines for individuals taking vandetanib. You should ask your doctor what dosage amount of vandetanib is best for you before beginning a treatment plan. Vandetanib should be taken as directed by your doctor. Adult Thyroid Cancer
- An initial dosage amount of 300 mg may be prescribed, to be taken by mouth one time per-day, or as prescribed by a doctor. This dosage amount may be continued until cancer cells show signs of receding, or until a body reaches high toxicity levels.
Renal Dosage Adjustment
- For those with mild renal impairment, no dosage adjustment is recommended.
- For those with moderate to severe renal impairments, a dosage of 200 mg to be taken one time per-day is recommended.
