Quenalin is a prescriptive drug used to relieve sinus congestion and pressure resulting from the cold. In addition, Quenalin is used to relieve hay fever, nasal congestion and URTI. Quenalin is found in a class of medicines referred to as nasal antihistamine and decongestant. Quenalin functions by inducing constriction of the blood vessels in the nose and sinus.

Quenalin works by stimulating contraction of blood vessels found in the nose and sinuses. This reduces swelling and inflammation, making the mucus flow off gradually from the nose and sinuses.
Take Quenalin exactly as advised by your doctor. Avoid taking of larger or smaller amount of Quenalin than recommended. If you forget to take a particular dose, use it as soon as you remember but do not take more than two doses at the same time to make up for this. Quenalin is available in form of tablets, sprays, capsules, syrups and nasal sprays.
Adult dose for nasal congestion
- Take immediate release tablets of 30 to 60mg by mouth every 4 to 6 hours.
Paediatric dose for nasal congestion
- Children agedbetween 2 to 5 years should take immediate release tablets of 15mg after every 6 hours.
Quenalin Side Effects
Just like any other medication, Quenalin also has its unwanted effects as well. However, some of the effects may go away with time and may not need any medical attention. Others may persist and continue being more annoying to the user.
