Q-Hist La Uses
Q-Hist La is a medication used to treat and relieve symptoms of cold, allergies and various respiratory tract infections. It is a combination medication that is formulated by combining three medicines- chlorpheniramine, phenylephrine and phenyltoloxamine. It is an antihistamine and decongestant drug.
Q-Hist La works well in relieving sinus congestion, runny nose, sneezing and pressure due to allergies and other upper respiratory infections. Chlorpheniramine is the antihistamine agent in the combination, and it reduces the effects of the natural histamine in the body. Phenylephrine and phenyltoloxamine are the decongestant agents that work by shrinking blood vessels to promote sinus and nasal drainage to relieve pressure and congestion. Q-Hist La may also be used in treating as prescribed by the physician.

Q-Hist La Dosage
Q-Hist La must be administered as prescribed by a physician to achieve the expected outcome. Usual adult dosage for:
- Allergic rhinitis; 5 to 10 mL every 4 to 6 hours. Max dose; 40 mL per day.
- A cough and nasal congestion; 5 to 10 mL every 4 to 6 hours. Max dose; 40 mL per day.
Usual pediatric dosage for:
- A cough and nasal congestion: 6 - 11 years; 2.5 to 5 mL every 4 to 6 hours. Max dose; 20 mL a day. 12 years and above; prescribe an adult dosage.
- Allergic rhinitis; 6-11 years; 2.5 to 5 mL every 4 to 6 hours. Max dose; 20 ml per day. 12 years and above patient; Adult dosage.
