Pyril D Uses
Pyril D is a decongestant that works by suppressing an area in the brain that causes coughing. It blocks the effects of the naturally occurring histamine in your body; it decongests and shrinks the blood vessels. When the blood vessels shrink, the flow of blood is reduced allowing the nasal passages to open up.
Histamine is a chemical that is produced by the body during an allergic reaction. It causes reactions such as coughs, flem, throat and lung irritation, skin irritation, swelling, mucosa, rash, nose irritation, and itchiness. These allergic reactions are a response to allergens such as insect bites, dust, pollen, topical irritants, animals and some foods. Pyril D is used to treat:
- Nasal congestion
- Hay fever
- Common cold
- Itchy nose
- Watery eyes
