Pulmona Uses

Pulmona is a medication which is mainly used to treat and prevent the symptoms of bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and other conditions involving constriction of the airways.

Pulmonaalso helps to ease the cough, shortness of breath, wheezing as well as troubled breathing associated with these conditions allowing relaxation of bronchi, thus allowing increased amounts of air to flow through them.

However, this medication may also be used for other conditions as determined by the doctor. Do not start, stop or change the dosage without consulting the doctor. Also, do not use this medication if you have any allergic reaction to it.

Pulmona Dosage

Pulmona dosage is dependent on the user since it is different on different users. The dosage is administered in the form of oral tablets or oral capsules.The dose of Pulmona is carefully determined by your doctor based on your age and response to the medication. Read the prescription details on the label or consult the doctor for details. Do not start, stop or change the dosage without consulting the doctor.
Usual adult dose

  • 300 mg per day
  • Dosage may be increased after three days to 400 mg per day

pediatric dose

  • 12 to 14 mg per kg of body weight, up to a maximum of 300 mg, per day in divided doses

How to use Pulmona

  • Pulmona is best taken with a full glass of water on an empty stomach
  • Either one hour before or 2 hours after meals unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
  • If the medication causes stomach upset, your doctor may want you to take it with food.
