Previfem (ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) is a contraception made from the combination of hormones, norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol. It is a control pill that inhibits pregnancy in women. Its functions by causing changes in the cervical mucus and uterine lining. This makes it harder for the sperm to reach the uterus and hence fertilization cannot take place.
Previfem (Ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) is a medication that is used to prevent unwanted pregnancy. It contains two hormones Ethinyl estradiol which the estrogen agent and norgestimate which is the progestin agent. Previfem works by preventing ovulation during one's menstrual cycle. It makes the vaginal fluid thicker making it impossible for the sperm to reach the egg for fertilization.
Previfem also changes the wall of the uterus to prevent the need attachment by the fertilized egg, and this means that it will just pass out of the body. Apart from being used as a birth control medication, Previfem can be used to make the periods more regular, decrease painful periods and risks of ovarian cysts.
