Plasmatein Uses

Plasmatein is an injection solution used to replace plasma in the blood. In these cases, the patient may be in danger of risking massive blood loss, requiring urgent medical attention and may experience shock due to burns of hemorrhage. A hemorrhagic shock is characterized when a patient is at risk of losing more than 20% of their blood supply. Like other plasma protein fractions, Plasmatein works by replacing plasma in the blood. Plasma is crucial to carrying out major functions in the body such as fighting diseases and clotting blood.

Plasmatein Dosage

Plasmatein dosage is completely dependent on the individual who takes it. The dosage may vary on a variety of factors including the individual being treated and the condition being treated. This drug needs to be administered by a medical professional. 

  • Adult: First, swab the stopper with Iodine tincture. The usual recommended dose is 250 to 500 mL not to exceed 10 mL/minute. Follow with a sterile antiseptic swab. 
  • Children: The recommended dose is 22 to 33 mL/kg.
