Plasma-Plex is an injection usually given to patients that require urgent medical attention such as those impacted by shock due to burns or hemorrhage and have experienced a major loss of blood. A hemorrhagic shock is characterized when a patient is at risk of losing more than 20% of their blood supply. This dangerous condition makes it difficult and nearly impossible for the heart to pump a sufficient supply of blood to the body. Each 100 mL of Plasma-Plex contains 5g of selected plasma proteins. Therefore, if the patient's condition worsens, they should contact their doctor.
