- The adult dose for Seizures: 1g orally which should be;divided into 3 doses (400 mg, 300mg, 300mg) given at 2 hours interval
- Arrhythmia: 1.25 mg/kg IV every 5 minutes
- Status Epilepticus: 10-15 mg/kg by slow IV administration
- Neurosurgery: 100 to 200 mg IM at about 4-hour interval during surgery.
- The pediatric dose is 15 to 20 mg/kg IV in a single or divided doses and 15 to 20 mg/kg orally for children of all ages.
Phenytex Side Effects
