Phenylhistine Uses

Phenylhistine contains a narcotic cough suppressant, an antihistamine, and a decongestant. The cough suppressant works by affecting certain parts of the brain (cough center) to reduce the urge to cough. The antihistamine works by interfering with the activities of histamine.;

Histamine is produced naturally by the body during an allergic reaction. The decongestant works by shrinking the blood vessels in the nasal passage to relieve a stuffy nose. Note that Phenylhistine will not treat a cough resulting from asthma, emphysema or asthma. Also, Phenylhistine has not shown to be safe or effective in children below the age of six years. Phenylhistine is used to treat:

Phenylhistine Dosage
