Pediatan Uses

Pediatan is an antihistamine which is mainly used to treat runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, as well as itching which are conditions caused by allergies, the common cold and the flu. This medication works by reducing the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. Histamine produces the symptoms of sneezing, watery eyes, itching as well as runny nose. It also works by blocking acetylcholine which is a natural substance made by the body.

This helps dry up some body fluid to relieve the symptoms such as watery eyes, and runny nose. However, this medication may also be used for other conditions as determined by the doctor. This medication is not recommended to children below 6 years of age since it is not safe or effective. Consult the doctor for more information.
