Nitro-Bid may not be effective when chest pain starts. It is a prevention to avoid chest tightening due to heart disease, but it is not a treatment when chest pain starts. It is also not used before physical activities, such as sexual activity and exercise. Ask your doctor for proper medications for those issues. Below you will find a typical dose of Nitro-Bid.

  • Wash your hands before and after use
  • Measure 7.5 mg of the ointment using the paper applicator
  • Apply the ointment to a clean, unbroken section of skin
  • Rotate the application site
  • Apply the ointment twice daily, once in the morning and once six hours later
