Metozolv works by enhancing the muscle contractions in the upper part of the digestive tract. This increases the rate at which stomach empties the intestines thereby helping deal with the intensity of GERD. Metozolv is taken orally without the need of water since it melts on the tongue, thus can be used by patients who have swallowing problem. Metozolv is used as per the doctor's direction. Avoid using the drug in larger amounts than recommended as this may lead to serious movement problems that may be irreversible. Metozolv should not be used for more than 12 weeks.
