Hemo-pad belongs to class of medications known as haemostatic agents. Hemo-pad is made using animal collagen and is often in the form of a sterile pad. Collagen is crucial in promoting blood clotting. Hemo-pad is at times used on the skin tissues to stick together skin graft procedures or cosmetic surgery. Hemo-pad works by stopping bleeding and speeding up the clotting of blood. Before using Hemo-pad on any wound or injury, be sure to clean the wound with a disinfectant.
