H-Tuss-D is a drug used to treat coughs, nasal congestion, the common cold or influenza. Nasal congestion makes it difficult to breathe due to the blockage of the nasal passage. This medication is somewhat habit forming so take only as directed by your doctor. H-Tuss-D contains a decongestant to help provide temporary relief of stuffy nose and sinus pressure. This pressure works by narrowing the blood vessels to decrease swelling. Therefore, if the patient's condition worsens, they should contact their doctor.

H-Tuss-D dosage is completely dependent on the individual who takes it as it can be used for a variety of different treatments. Note that the amount of H-Tuss-D depends on the amount of times you plan on taking each day.
- Adults: Take 5 mL every 4 to 6 hours as needed not to exceed 4 doses (20 mL) in 24 hour period.
