Guanidine HCL Uses
Guanidine HCL is a drug prescribed to patients who have been diagnosed with Lambert-Eaton syndrome. This disease attacks the autoimmune system. The immune system can not differentiate between healthy cells and tissues in the body.
In particular, the disease attacks the nerve connections to the muscles and does not release a chemical called acetylcholine. Muscle weakness is a result of Lambert-Eaton syndrome. Guanidine HCL helps to improve the release of acetylcholine which aids to control movement.
