Guaimax-D dosage is dependent on the user since it is different on different users. The dosage is administered in the form of oral tablets, syrup or capsules. The dosage also depends on the strength of the medicine and it is only infused to severely malnourished patients. Read the prescription details on the label or consult the doctor for details. Adult Dose for Cough and Nasal Congestion
- Oral tablets: 1 tablet orally up to 4 times a day.
- Oral syrup: 10 mL orally up to 4 times a day.
- Oral capsule: 1 or 2 capsules every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 4 capsules in 24 hours
Pediatric Dose for Cough and Nasal Congestion
- 3 years or older: Oral tablet, capsule or syrup: 15 mg to 60 mg orally up to every 4 hours. Do not exceed 4 mg/kg per day.
- 2 years to under 6 years : 2 mL every 4 to 6 hours, not more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
- 6 years to 11 years: 1 capsule every 4 to 6 hours, not more than 4 capsules in 24 hours.
- 12 years or older: 1 or 2 capsules every 4 to 6 hours, not more than 8 capsules in 24 hours
