Granumed Uses

Granumed is a combination of Trypsin and Balsam Peru. Trypsin is an enzyme that works by breaking up and removing dead skin tissue. Balsam Peru is a mild antiseptic that works by preventing the growth and spread on bacteria on the skin. Balsam Peru also may also aid the growth of skin cells. Castor oil is added to Granumed to soothe the affected area. Granumed is exclusively used on the skin. Granumed is only available through a doctor’s prescription. Granumed is typically indicated for:

  • Skin wounds
  • Ulcers
  • Sunburn

Granumed Dosage

Use Granumed dosage as directed by the doctor or physician. Clean and dry the affected area before applying. Shake well before spraying on the affected area while being careful not to inhale the medication. Do not bandage the affected area after application. If you're unclear on how to clean the affected area or apply Granumed, consult your doctor. Below is a typical Granumed dosage.

  • Hold the can upright and about 12 inches from the affected area. Press the valve and spray quickly.

If you fail to apply Granumed at the scheduled time, use as soon as you remember. However, if it is time for the next application, skip the missed dose and go back to the normal schedule.
