Genora 1/50 Uses
Genora 1/50 is a medication prescribed to patients in order to prevent pregnancy, abnormal uterine bleeding or endometriosis. Genora 1/50 is a combination of two drugs, Mestranol and Norethisterone. This drug works by preventing the ovaries from releasing the eggs.
Genora 1/50 also makes it difficult for the sperm to enter the uterus which it does by thickening the mucus of the cervix wall. This makes fertilzation difficult. As a result, the unfertilized egg just passes out of the body. This drug does not protect you against sexually transmitted diseases. Therefore, if the patient's condition worsens, they should contact their doctor.
