- 200 to 400 mg orally every 4 hours as needed
- Do not to exceed 2.4 g per day
Pediatric Dose for Cough
- < 2 years: 12 mg/kg per day orally in 6 divided doses
- 2 to 5 years: 50 to 100 mg orally every 4 hours as needed. Do not to exceed 600 mg per day
- 6 to 11 years: 100 to 200 mg orally every 4 hours as needed. Do not to exceed 1.2 g per day
- 12 years and above: 200 to 400 mg orally every 4 hours as needed. Do not to exceed 2.4 g per day
