Folnate Uses

Folnate is a multivitamin preparation and is therefore used in treating patients who are deficient in certain vitamins - most notably vitamins B6, B12 and folate. As a result, the medicine is commonly recommended for pregnant patients who may become deficient in folate over the course of their pregnancy. Folate is a vital component in the cell division process and a lack of folate can cause developmental challenges in the developing fetus. Folnate may also be used for patients with other deficiencies, and this will be determined by your prescriber.

Folnate Dosage

Folnate, as with any other medicine, does not follow any fixed dosage. There are, of course, recommended dosage regimens, but these regimens have exceptions. You may take Folnate with or without food. If you experience any stomach upset, take Folnate with food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
