Fiorpap Uses

Fiorpap employs a combination of acetaminophen, butalbital and caffeine to alleviate a severe headache in adults and children over 12 years. It is available in both tablet and capsule form. An oral liquid featuring the same drug may also be available, but not under the name Fiorpap.

While Fiorpap is a very effective medication, unlike other analgesics, it is not necessarily safe to use during pregnancy, and researchers warn that complications caused by its use cannot be ruled out. Additionally, Fiorpap is classified as a controlled substance because it carries the risk of addiction in people who are prone to alcoholism and other substance abuse problems.

  • Severe Headache

Fiorpap Dosage

Fiorpap should only be taken as needed, because there is a risk of a developing dependence. Too much acetaminophen can also result in liver damage, liver failure and death. Be sure to follow doctor's dosage instruction when taking Fiorpap. Dosage will vary on different factors including age, severity of condition, weight, and more.

  • Adults who have a dosage of Fiorpap containing 300 or 325 mg of acetaminophen should take 1 to 2 capsules every four hours as needed, not to exceed six doses in a 24-hour period.
  •  The 500 mg dose of Fiorpap should be limited to one tablet every four hours, not to exceed six doses in a 24-hour period. The 750 mg dose may still be taken at four-hour intervals, but no more than five doses should be taken in a single day.
  • Children 12 years and older can safely take the 300 mg dose of Fiorpap every four hours, but higher dosages are not listed among the recommendations.
