Dulera is a combination of two medicines, formoterol and mometasone. Mometasone is a corticosteroid that works by reducing the irritation and swelling of the airway. The swollen air passage is the main reason for the wheezing sound. Formoterol is the long-acting beta agonist that works by opening airways in the lungs, making the breathing easier.
Dulera is available in the form of an aerosol, and thus, it should be taken as an inhalation. It does not work right way after consumption and thus, should not be used as a sudden asthma attack reliever.
