Daliresp (roflumilast) is a medication that is used to control and prevent symptoms of wheezing and shortness of breath that is usually caused by lung diseases. It is mostly used in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in combination with other medications.
Daliresp works by reducing the swelling and irritation of the airways to control and prevent COPD symptoms. The drug does not work immediately and so should be used regularly for it to be effective. Daliresp can also be used with other medications such as salmeterol and ipratropium to make it more effective.
The drug should be administered orally once a day with or without food. The age of the patient should be considered while prescribing the dosage.
