Tri-Previfem works by preventing ovulation (release of an egg) during menstruation. Tri-Previfem also makes the vaginal fluid thicker, an action that helps prevent sperms from reaching an egg, thereby stopping fertilization.
If fertilization has occurred, Tri-Previfem will change the lining of the womb and the egg will be passed out of the body. Note that Tri-Previfem will not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV or gonorrhea.
