Terazosin is a form of medication that falls into the class of alpha blockers. Terazosin is used to treat patients with high blood pressure also referred to as hypertension. This drug can be used as a muscle relaxer to the muscles found next to the prostate and bladder neck to allow for easy urination.
Terazosin is used on its own or with other medications to treat hypertension. Terazosin is also used in men to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH (enlarged prostate).
