Ofirmev (acetaminophen) is an injection administered to manage mild to moderate pain, moderate to intense pain with opioid (narcotic) and to reduce fever. Ofirmev has severe repercussions if overdosed or overused since it may either result in damage to liver or result to death. Ofirmev is injected through an IV into the vein. An infusion pump can be used on other occasions where the machine is correctly programmed to deliver the right amount. Ofirmev injection is a clear, and colorless nonpyrogenic, isotonic formulation of acetaminophen that has been associated with cases of acute liver failure where in some cases liver transplanting has had to take place or death has been witnessed.
