Monurol (fosfomycin) is an antibiotic. It is used to treat urinary tract infections in women by inhibiting the growth of bacteria and thus treats the infections. Monurol belongs to the class of drugs known as urinary antibiotics. Monurol is an anti-infection used to treat bladder infections (e.g., intense cystitis or lower urinary tract contaminations) in ladies. It works by slowing the development of microscopic organisms. Monurol should not be used to treat diseases outside the bladder (e.g., kidney contaminations, for example, pyelonephritis or perinephric diseases) as it may cause harm to the outer organs. Inform your physician or doctor if you have any therapeutic conditions. Try not to take Monurol more than the recommended dosage (1 tablet or sachet) of this solution for every bladder contamination. Usage of more tablets won't improve your health in any way and may make you worse.
