Minastrin 24 FE is a form of birth control containing a combination of two different hormones, one estrogen, and one progestin. It's primary function is to prevent the release of an egg during the menstrual cycle. It also makes it more difficult for sperm to reach any eggs by thickening the vaginal fluid and changes the uterine lining to prevent any fertilized eggs from attaching. If an egg gets fertilized but doesn't attach to the uterine lining, it simply passes out of the body.
Minastrin 24 Fe is a combination of norethindrone, a progestin, and Ethinyl estradiol, an estrogen, which prevents the release of an egg from an ovary. Minastrin 24 Fe also causes changes in cervical mucus and uterine lining, making it harder for sperm to reach the uterus by making vaginal fluid thicker and for a fertilized egg to attach to the uterus.
A fertilized egg passes out of the body if does not attach to the uterus. This medication is used as contraception to prevent pregnancy. Apart from preventing pregnancy, Minastrin 24 Fe may decrease your risk of ovarian cysts, make periods more regular, treat acne, and decrease blood loss and painful periods.
