Hydrocodone /Aceta is used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain. It contains both narcotic and non-narcotic pain relievers. The narcotic pain reliever is hydrocodone while the non- narcotic pain reliever is acetaminophen. Hydrocodone/aceta inhibits the sensory nerves that sense pain in the brain. It alters the way a person feels. Acetaminophen also reduces fever.
Hydrocodone Bitartrate/Homatropine Methylbromide is a semisynthetic centrally-acting narcotic antitussive and is used to treat a dry cough caused by the symptoms of a common cold. Hydrocodone Bitartrate/Homatropine Methylbromide works by inhibiting the activity of certain chemicals in the brain, thereby stopping the urge to cough.
Hydrocodone Bitartrate/Homatropine Methylbromide is typically used for short-term treatment of a cough. It does not treat chronic coughs as a result of smoking or long-term breathing problems such emphysema and asthma. Equally, Hydrocodone Bitartrate/Homatropine Methylbromide is not used to treat coughs with large amounts of mucus or fluids unless under the supervision of a doctor.
