Gadavist is a contrast agent that is used in MRI scans in order to produce a distinct image of the body. Gadavist produces magnetic effects; thus, when used with magnetic resonance imaging, it enables, organs, blood vessels, and other non-bony tissues to be viewed more distinctly on the MRI. Additionally, Gadavist is used to assist in diagnosing breast cancer and particular disorders of the brain and the spine.
