Camila is a form of progestin, a female hormone. Camila is used as an oral contraceptive and helps prevent ovulation or the release of egg from the ovary. Camila is in a class of medicines known as oral contraceptives. Camila causes changes in cervical mucus and the uterine lining thereby making it hard for sperm to reach the uterus and for the fertilized egg to attach to uterus. Camila may also be used to prevent pregnancy.
