Bromatan Uses

Bromatan is a combination of 3 drugs (brompheniramine, dextromethorphan and phenylephrine) used to provide relief to patients who have the common cold, runny nose, hay fever and the common cold.

Brompheniramine is an antihistamine and reduces the body"s reaction toward pollen or dust that produces reactions such as sneezing or runny nose. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that temporarily suppresses coughing and provides relief so that the patient can rest. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that shrinks the blood vessels in the nasal passage. For patients who have a stuffy nose, taking this medicine will experience relief. Therefore, if the patient"s condition worsens, they should contact their doctor.

Bromatan Dosage

Bromatan dosage is completely dependent on the individual who takes it as it can be used for a variety of different treatments. Note that the amount ofBromatan depends on the amount of times you plan on taking each day.

  • Take this with or without food with a full glass of water, or as directed by your doctor. If taking the extended-release capsule or tablet, be sure not to split the tablets unless there is a score line. Otherwise, swallow the whole or split tablet without crushing or chewing.
