Banophen Uses

Banophen is formulated using an antihistamine and an anticholinergic. The antihistamine component works by inhibiting the action of histamine, a substance that occurs naturally in the body, thereby reducing the intensity of the symptoms caused by an allergic reaction.

The anticholinergic in Banophen works in the brain to trigger sedation. Apart from treating the conditions stated earlier, Banophen is also used to prevent and treat vomiting, nausea, and dizziness resulting from the motion sickness. Banophen can also be used to help the patient relax and fall asleep. Note that Banophen may be used to for other purposes not listed in this medication guide. Banophen is indicated for:

  • Allergy
  • Common cold
  • Hay fever
