Balacall DM is a combination drug (brompheniramine, dextromethorphan, and phenylephrine) that is used to temporarily ease the symptoms caused by common cold, flu and allergies as well as other breathing illnesses such as bronchitis or sinusitis. Balacall DM is also used to help reduce the effects of watery eyes, sneezing and runny nose. Balacall DM may also be used to relieve stuffy nose and ear congestion symptoms.

Balacall Dm Uses
Balacall DM works by reducing the effects of histamine in the body during an allergic reaction. Histamine is a chemical that occurs naturally in the body and is associated with causing symptoms such sneezing, itching and watery eyes, as well as a runny nose. Due to the presence of phenylephrine Balacall DM also decongests the blood vessels in the nasal passage thereby helping treat symptoms such as a stuffy nose. The dextromethorphan in Balacall Dm is a cough suppressant that works by affecting the brain's cough center, thereby reducing the urge to cough. Balacall DM is indicated for:

Balacall Dm Dosage
Balacall DM comes with a medication guide that outlines the directions for use. Be sure to read the dosage information before use. Contact your doctor for clarification in case of ambiguity. - Adults - 5 to 10 mL orally every 4 to 6 hours, not to exceed 40 mL daily
- Balacall DM is not recommended for children under the age of 6 years.
If you forget to take a Balacall DM dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is about time for the second dose, skip the missed dose and go back to the normal schedule.
