Armour Thyroid is a medicine used in the treatment of hypothyroidism - a condition characterised by low levels of thyroid hormone. The drug is used in the treatment of, or prophylaxis against, goitre. The active ingredient of the medicine is desiccated thyroid. Common side effects include appetite changes, diarrhoea and sweating.
Armour Thyroid is a derived from porcine thyroid glands and has a strong, characteristic and is administered orally. Armour Thyroid contains inactive ingredients: sodium starch glycolate, dextrose, calcium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and op-dry white. Armour Thyroid is a natural product made from animal thyroid glands.
