Aridex Uses

Aridex is a combination of three different drugs. These drugs include carbetapentane, carbinoxamine and phenylephrine. Carbetapentane is known as a cough suppressant whose function is to mitigate cough reflex in the body. Carbinoxamine is an antihistamine. The function of antihistamines is to inhibit the release of a chemical known as histamine in the body. The chemical is known to produce allergic symptoms like watery eyes, a runny nose and others in the body. Phenylephrine is known as a decongestant whose function is to narrow blood vessels in the nose to lessen nasal congestion that causes stuffy nose and sneezing. Generally, the drug is used in the treatment of symptoms of hay fever, sinusitis, bronchitis, allergies and a common cold.

Aridex Dosage

Usual pediatric dosage for nasal congestion
