Apap/Dichlphen/Isometheptene Uses

Apap/Dichlphen/Isometheptene is a drug used to help treat patients with migraine and tension headaches. To patients who have migraines, it can feel like the pounding headache, nausea, and vomiting and light sensitivity won't go away. This can make the patient feel like they can't concentrate on anything. In addition, this medication is also prescribed to patients who have tension headaches who experience a mild to moderate pain in the head.

This medication contains acetaminophen, isometheptene and dichloralphenazone. Acetaminophen is helpful to reduce fevers and headaches. Isometheptene helps to relax the patient and provide a sedative-like effect. Lastly, dichloralphenazone helps to narrow the blood vessels in the brain and can reduce the degree of pain the patient feels.
