Andro-Cyp Uses

Andro-Cyp is a testosterone compound prescribed to boost testosterone levels in individuals with low levels and some individuals with breast cancer. Testosterone is responsible for many bodily functions, including:

  • normal sexual development
  • bone health
  • muscle health
  • puberty

The drug form of testosterone belongs to the Androgen class. Its natural form is produced in the testicles and distributed throughout the body. However, the ovaries also produce small amounts of testosterone. Low testosterone levels in men can cause delayed puberty, hormonal imbalances, and impotence. When prescribed to women, Andro-Cyp is typically only used to treat breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.

Andro-Cyp Dosage

Andro-Cyp is prescribed to be administered as an injection into the muscles of the buttocks, typically given every one to four weeks depending upon the patient"s condition. Most healthcare professionals will choose to administer the medication themselves. However, if you are self-administering Andro-Cyp be certain to follow any instructions given to you by your healthcare provider very closely. Dosage of Andro-Cyp is highly individualized depending upon the patient"s response to treatment, condition being treated, and testosterone blood levels. Patients who have been using Andro-Cyp for a while should not cease using the medication suddenly, as doing so may cause withdrawal and serious hormone imbalance. Below you will find a typical dosage of Andro-Cyp.

  • 750 mg injected every 1-4 weeks
