Ampicilin Sodium is a drug similar to penicillin that kills bacteria. Patients who have bacterial infection, skin infections, sinusitis or pelvic inflammatory disease may be prescribed this medication.
Bacterial infections are unusually caused by microbes and spread through coughing, sneezing or contact with infected people. In other cases, this medication can be prescribed to patients who have skin infections (resulting from bites, etc).
This medications works to kill bacteria by preventing bacteria from building the cell wall(which prevents the bacteria from further multiplying). Note that Ampicilin Sodium may result in the bacteria building resistance. Therefore, if the patient's condition worsens, they should contact their doctor.

Ampicilin Sodium dosage is completely dependent on the individual who takes it cas it can be used for a variety of different treatments. Note that the amount of Ampicilin Sodium depends on the amount of times you plan on taking each day. Drink plenty of fluids and do not stop taking this medication unless approved by your doctor.

For bacterial infections:
- Adults: 1.5g-3g IV or IM every 6 hours
- Children(>40kg):1.5g-3g IV or IM every 6 hours
