Amerifed Uses

Amerifed is a drug generally used for medication of runny or stuffy nose, sinus congestion and cough. The drug contains three drugs.

Antihistamine that reduces the chemical known as histamine that is naturally found in the body. Histamine produces symptoms like sneezing, itching and runny nose. Hydrocodone functions as a narcotic drug. Decongestant that functions by shrinking the blood vessels to ease nasal or sinus congestion. Cough suppressant helps in reducing dry cough by reducing the cough reflex in the brain.

Amerifed Dosage

Amerifed should be administered in the body after you have been diagnosed with the above said symptoms. The dosage should be instructed by a doctor or read in the prescription label.
