Alpain is a medication used to help treat patients who are suffering from the common cold. Symptoms include sneezing and runny nose. The common cold is a viral, contagious infection. Therefore to prevent transmitting to others, be sure to wash your hands often and cover your mouth when you sneeze.
Alpain contains two drugs that can help patients sooth achespains associated with the common cold: antihistamine and acetaminophen. An antihistamine is a drug that reduces histamines produced in the body such as dust or pollen which can trigger cold-like symptoms. Acetaminophen is a drug used to reduce fevers, headaches and arthritis. Keep in mind not to overdose on acetaminophen as it can cause liver damage. Therefore, if the patient's condition worsens, they should contact their doctor.
- Common Cold
Alpain dosage is completely dependent on the individual who takes it as it can be used for a variety of different treatments. Note that the amount of Alpain depends on the amount of times you plan on taking each day. This medication may not be safe for children under six years of age. Do not take for more than 10 days (adults) or 5 days (children).
For the common cold:
- Adults: Take by mouth, with or without food or as directed by your doctor. Swallow tablet whole (do not crush)
