Allergy Am-PM Uses

Allergy Am PM which is a decongestant, works by decongesting the narrow blood vessels that run in the nose. It relieves the uncomfortable and disturbing feeling of a stuffy and runny nose, itchy and watery eyes and the itchy feeling in the throat. Allergy Am PM blocks chemical called histamine, this chemical is responsible for causing allergies. An allergy is a disease that occurs when your body’s immune system is attacked by foreign substances such as pollen, pet dander, bee venom and dust.

When these substances enter your body, your immune system responds by releasing antibodies that protect you from unfamiliar invaders that could cause an infection to your body. Allergy Am PM is used to treat:

  • Allergies
  • Stuffy and runny nose
  • Itchy and watery eyes

Allergy Am-PM Dosage

Allergy Am PM dose is determined by your doctor. He or she may determine the dose based on factors such as severity of the condition being treated, weight, age, medical history and response to treatment. It, therefore, means that the dose may vary from one patient to the other. The duration between intervals, time and the length of using Allergy Am PM are determined by the severity of the condition being treated.

Allergy Am PM dose is administered in the following ways:

Usual Adult Dose

  •  5-10 mL orally twice a day

Usual Pediatric Dose

  • 6 to 11 years: 5mL orally twice a day

If you miss Allergy Am PM dose, take it as soon as you can. However, if it is about time for the second dose, skip the missed dose and go back to the normal schedule.
