Agenerase Uses

Agenerase is an antiviral medication or protease inhibitor which is mainly used to treat HIV, which causes AIDS. This medication works by preventing HIV cells from multiplying. However, Agenerase does not cure HIV or AIDS but only helps in preventing HIV cells from multiplying. This helps the patients body in regaining strength since the HIV cells makethe patient weak or even cause other diseases.

Agenerase Dosage

Agenerase dosage is administered in the form of oral capsules. The Dosage varies with the age and it is different for different patients. Adults dosage

  • oral capsules: 1,200 mg twice daily in combination with other antiretroviral agents.

Pediatric dosage
Oral capsules:

  • 13 to 16 years: 1,200 mg twice daily in combination with other antiretroviral agents.
  • 4 to 12 years of age: 20 mg/kg twice daily or 15 mg/kg 3 times daily in combination with other antiretroviral agents.
