Aerovent Uses

The chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is long term lung disease that refers to emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Damage to the lungs caused by COPD cannot be reversed. Thus, COPD treatment should be sought at the initial stages to avert any possible fatalities and promote healing. The most common symptoms of COPD include wheezing, chronic cough and shortness of breath. To treat COPD, Aerovent works in the airways to relax the muscles thereby opening air passages for improved breathing. Aerovent is a slow acting bronchodilator. Note the Aerovent should not be used to treat an asthma attack. Aerovent is administered to treat:

Aerovent Dosage

Aerovent should be used as directed by the doctor. It is administered to the body using a special inhaler. Aerovent comes with a medication guide that should be strictly followed. Read all the instructions on the product’s label carefully. If you do not understand how to use the inhaler, ask your doctor what to do to make sure you are using it properly.

Aerovent Dosage

  • Adults—75 micrograms (mcg) (1 capsule) by oral inhalation once a day.
  • Children—Use is not recommended.

An Aerovent missed dose should be taken as soon as possible. Nevertheless, if it is almost time for the subsequent dose, the missed dose should be skipped and regular dosage schedule returned to. Never use double doses.



Aerovent Side Effects
