Stelara is most commonly used to treat symptoms in plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. Stelara works by blocking natural proteins in the body that lead to skin inflammation.

Stelara Dosage

Stelara dosage is completely dependent on the individual that takes it, as it can be used for a variety of conditions. Note that the amount of Stelara you take also depends on the age of the individual. In addition to that the amount of Stelara you take also depends on the strength of each injection. Note that Stelara also depends on the type of condition you are treating.

Stelara dosage to treat psoriasis

  • For adults over 220 lbs, the dosage begins at 90mg that is to be injected under the skin. Then, after 4 weeks, there should be a follow up dosage of 90mg. This treatment is then proceeded by a dosage of 90mg every 12 weeks.
  • For adults under 220 lbs, the dosage begins at 45mg that is to be injected under the skin. Then, after 4 weeks, there should be a follow up dosage of 45mg. This treatment is then proceeded by a dosage of 45mg every 12 weeks.
  • For children, usage and dosage should be determined by a doctor's consultation.
