Metrogel Uses

Metrogel is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. Metrogel is only indicated to treat susceptible microorganisms, which must be determined by the prescribing doctor. Metrogel is commonly prescribed to treat rosacea, an inflammatory condition of the face. Metrogel relieves the inflammation as well as the number pustules and lesions that occur with rosacea, however, it only relieves symptoms and is not a cure for the disease. Metrogel also is prescribed to treat vaginitis, trichomonas infections, amebiasis, giardiasis, treponemal infections, and anaerobic bacterial infections.
