Librax is a combination of the elements clidinium and chlordiazepoxide. Clidinium is used to reduce the symptoms of cramping that are brought by the stomach and intestines. It works by having he natural movement of the gut slowed down and having the muscles of the stomach, and the intestines relaxed. Chlordiazepoxide is given to patients that have anxiety. It is used in the reduction of anxiety by acting on the nerves and the brain to give it a calming effect. When the two products are combined they treat ulcers, irritable bowel syndrome and also infections of the intestines.
