Effexor is only used in the treatment of psychiatric disorders. Effexor is only prescribed if alternative therapies, such as cognitive behavioural therapy, have proven ineffective. Many patients will take Effexor alongside CBT in their course of treatment.

Effexor Dosage

Effexor dosage is dependent on the individual that it is being administered to. The following dosage is an average dose and could differ among individuals. Major Depressive Disorder

  • 37.5mg to be taken twice daily or 25 mg to be taken three times daily.

Panic Disorder
